In practice, the term means an advocate of counter-economics, other aspects of the accumulated agorist body of thought and action informed by agorism. Generally speaking, an agorist is a conscious practitioner of counter-economics whether by direct action within the counter-economy or through advancement of the theoretical components of agorism, though typically the two go hand in hand.
Though the only requirement to consider oneself an agorist is to purposefully practice counter-economics, by direct action and/or theory, it could be said that there are varying degrees to which a person is an agorist and also how effective their brand of agorism actually is in furthering the deterioration and eventual destruction of the state.
