Minarchism

Minarchism is a term coined by Samuel Edward Konkin III to refer to a broad set of libertarian ideologies embracing so-called “limited government” (i.e. a government whose powers are greatly restricted, often by a constitution).

Minarchists who believe in natural rights typically believe that government is necessary, but that its functions should be restricted to protecting the rights of its subjects. Agorists explicitly reject this argument for minarchism, arguing that governments must violate rights in order to exist. Agorists advocate anarchism instead of minarchism.
