Rothbard e-books and related
Agorism began as a left-divergent / hyper-libertarian current among students of immensely influential libertarian economist and polymath Murray Rothbard, who called his system of libertarian doctrine “anarcho-capitalism”. The Mises Institute has, over the years, published a great deal of Rothbardian and related libertarian materials. As those materials have been recently (February 2009) released for republication by any and all, we are mirroring here some key selected items. These represent not necessarily agorism itself, but the ground from which it sprouted and contain much to further your understanding of libertarianism and Rothbard's Austrian school economics generally, and thus agorism.
- For a New Liberty: The Libertarian Manifesto – Rothbard's principal elaboration of his system of libertarian doctrine “anarcho-capitalism” and libertarianism more generally.
- The Ethics of Liberty – A later and more scholarly examination of libertarian philosophy by Rothbard
- Man, Economy and State w/ companion volume Power & Market (Scholar's Edition) – Man, Economy and State is a weighty tome on Austrian economics by Rothbard, while Power & Market is a continuation of it (initially published seperately) that delves more into the realm of political economy rather than pure economics
- Robert P. Murphy's study guide for Man, Economy and State
- Robert P. Murphys's Chaos Theory: Two Essays on Market Anarchy – important but short supplementary overview of some of the particulars of non-state law and defense
- Morris and Linda Tannehill's The Market For Liberty – a short book on anarcho-capitalism geared toward students of Ayn Rand
- Thomas C. Taylor's An Introduction to Austrian Economics – a lighter, more approachable overview of Austrian economics
